This dataset includes the monthly Perception Index of the economy published by Growht From Knowledge. The IPEC is calculated through the monthly application of a structured questionnaire to an approximate sample of 1,100 people over 18 years of age, residents in the main cities of Chile. The study is weighted by the variables sex, age and regional distribution according to the Census, and socioeconomic level according to AIM. This index is a composite index, calculated from the combination of the public's responses to 5 questions. These questions measure the perception of: a) Current personal economic situation. b) Current economic situation of the country. c) Future economic situation of the country in the short term (12 months). d) Future long-term economic stability of the country (5 years). e) Purchase situation of household items.
