Dataset Information

Data available from 1905-06-13 to 1905-07-10
The document breaks down the sources of economic growth in Argentina and provides estimates of Total Factor Productivity (TFP), potential GDP, and the output gap for the period 1993-2017. The aggregate production function approach is used to perform the growth accounting exercise. Estimates of the observed and potential TFP are provided to later compute the potential GDP and the output gap. A sensitivity and robustness analysis of the results is presented and the sustainable economic growth rate in the long term is computed. It is concluded that one of the challenges facing Argentina is to deepen the pattern of intensive growth to ensure sustainable growth rates in the long term.
