The information presented is from the Índice de Volumen Físico (IVF) and shows the evolution of the production of the manufacturing industry. Through the Encuesta Industrial Mensual (EIM) directed to a statistical sample of approximately 700 companies, basic information is obtained at the level of each of the manufacturing activities carried out by them. The indicators that are prepared with information collected monthly measure the evolution of the activities carried out by the economic units of the private and public sectors in companies with at least 10 employed persons nationwide. The IVF has national coverage and the base year is 2006. The division of economic activities takes into account the International Standard Industrial Classification (ISIC rev3) and the valuation criterion at the price of producer without including deductible taxes (VAT, COFIS, and IMESI).
