SEIDO High Frequency CPI: Inflation was 0.7% WoW

Weekly inflation decelerates. Consumer prices increased 0.7% WoW (vs previous 1.6% WoW), while the monthly printing was of 4.1% MoM (from previous 3.9% MoM). Meanwhile, the interannual inflation decreased to 52.4% YoY (vs 52.7% YoY -revised-).

Weekly core inflation decelerates. Its weekly printing was of 0.6% WoW (vs previous 1.4% WoW) while its monthly variation was of 3.9% MoM (vs 3.7% MoM -revised-). Regulated items price variation was 0.0% WoW (vs 1.5% WoW) and its monthly variation moved down to 4.6% (vs 4.8% MoM). Meanwhile, prices of Seasonal items increased 1.6% WoW (vs 2.4% WoW) and 4.3% MoM (vs 3.7% MoM -revised-).

Dollarized items weekly inflation decreases. The weekly printing was of 0.5% WoW (vs previous 1.6% WoW), while the monthly variation moved up to 3.9% (vs 3.8% MoM). Meanwhile, non-dollarized items inflation was 1.1% WoW (vs 1.2% WoW) and 4.2% MoM (vs 3.9% MoM).

Food and Beverages weekly price increases also decelerates. Our monitoring of Food & Beverages shows a weekly variation of 0.9% (vs previous 2.1% WoW) and a monthly increase of 4.7% (vs previous 4.3% MoM).

The distribution of price changes was mostly stable. About 32% of our monitored prices are increasing 4% or more per month (vs previous 33%). Another 24% of prices are increasing between 2-4% per month (vs previous 27%) and about 45% of prices are increasing below 2% per month (vs previous 41%).
