This dataset includes European Union's balance of payments, providing data on financial and current accounts in millons euros. The Current account shows the flows of goods, services, primary income and secondary income between resident and non-resident units. The Financial account covers all transactions associated with changes of ownership in the foreign financial assets and liabilities of an economy. The financial account is broken down into five basic functional categories: Direct investment, Portfolio investment, Financial derivatives and employee stock options, Other investment and Official reserve assets. The information is reported in monthly unadjusted data.
This dataset includes annual information for the countries of the European Union. The data include the consolidated gross debt and the net loans (pos) or net indebtedness (neg) of the general government as a percentage of GDP at market prices, as well as the gross domestic product (GDP) of each country at market prices of 2010 in the national currency of each country. The dataset also contains series of unemployment rates for each country.
This dataset includes a European Union's monthly business survey about industry sector. The main questions of survey refer to an assessment of recent trends in production, of the current levels of order books and stocks, as well as expectations about production, selling prices and employment. Answers obtained from the surveys are aggregated in the form of balances, constructed as the difference between the percentages of respondents giving positive and negative replies. This data is reported adjusted seasonally and unadjusted since 2016.
This dataset includes European Union's International Investment Position. The International investment position (IIP) shows, at the end of each quarter, the value of financial assets of residents of an economy that are claims on non-residents, and the liabilities of residents of an economy to non-residents, plus gold bullion held as reserve assets. The difference between the assets and liabilities is the net position in the IIP and represents either a net claim on or a net liability to the rest of the world. The value of the IIP at the end of a period results from positions at the end of the previous period, transactions in the current period, and other changes that arise from reasons other than transactions between residents and non-residents, that may be attributed to other changes in volume and revaluations (due to changes in exchange rates or prices). According to the functional subdivision cross-border financial transactions and positions are classified as Direct investment, Portfolio investment, Financial derivatives (other than reserves) and employee stock options, other investment, and reserve assets. The data provides in quarterly millons euros.
