The BCB carries out its functions through various monetary policy tools, such as setting interest rates, managing the money supply, and intervening in the foreign exchange market.

This dataset includes the monthly indices of economic perception in Bolivia (IPE), covering the current situation (ISA), and future expectations (ISF). The indices range from -100 to 100, with 0 as the inflection point. To construct the ISA, perceptions of the current situation are compared to the previous year (the November 2023 survey asks for a comparison between October 2023 and October 2022). For the ISF, perceptions focus on the expected situation in the next six months. Due to a methodological update since April 2023, the 'Equal' option has been introduced
