This dataset includes the BIS quarterly statistics on credit to the non-financial sector, capturing borrowing activity by the government sector and the private non-financial sector in more than 40 economies. Data on credit to the government sector cover an average of 20 years, while data on credit to the private non-financial sector cover an average of more than 45 years. The statistics in this dataset follow the framework of the System of National Accounts.
