This dataset comprises monthly Manufacturing Activity Index (IMAM), published by Association of Industries of the Dominican Republic (AIRD). This indicator tracks industrial performance in the Dominican Republic, serving as a key indicator for economic decision-making. It is based on monthly surveys of CEOs and purchasing managers, focusing on variables like sales, production, employment, order delivery times, and raw material inventory. Results below 50 in a given month indicate decreased activity compared to the previous month.

The AIRD was founded on April 7, 1962. It is the largest and most important industrial association in the Dominican Republic, comprising over 200 industries (direct and indirect members) across 23 subsectors, including food and beverages, plastics, paper, textiles, mining, energy, steel, cement, and other construction-related products, pharmaceuticals, personal and household care products, tobacco, among others. It is composed of more than 20 sectorial and regional associations.

This dataset includes the quarterly Business Confidence Index (ICE) published by the Association of Industries of the Dominican Republic (AIRD). This indicator, established in the Industrial Outlook Survey, gauges entrepreneurs' perceptions regarding the climate for investment, the national economy, the international economy, the status of their company, and the branch or subsector of activity in which their company operates. In essence, it captures the perceptions that entrepreneurs hold regarding the environment in which they conduct their businesses, indicating the extent to which they feel more or less optimistic concerning these various indicators.
