The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) is a federal executive department responsible for developing and executing policies related to food, agriculture, natural resources, and rural development. It is responsible for administering programs that provide assistance to farmers, promote agricultural trade and production, and conserve natural resources. The USDA is also responsible for the inspection and grading of agricultural products, and the regulation of food safety.
