This dataset includes yearly information on the consumption of primary energy published by the Energy Institute. Primary energy from non-fossil-based electricity sources (nuclear, hydro, wind, solar, geothermal, biomass in power, and other renewable sources) has been calculated on an input-equivalent basis, which means based on the equivalent amount of fossil fuel input required to generate that amount of electricity in a standard thermal power plant.
