This dataset includes the Geopolitical Risk Index. Dario Caldara and Matteo Iacoviello developed this index as a measure of adverse geopolitical events and associated risks, based on the frequency of newspaper articles reporting on geopolitical tensions. The index tracks the evolution of geopolitical risk and its economic effects since 1900.
