Dataset Information
Data available from 1870-01-01 to 2040-01-01- Source: OWID
This dataset includes average years of formal education for individuals aged 15–64. Data source: Barro and Lee (2015); Lee and Lee (2016). Formal education refers to primary education (ISCED 1) or higher and does not include years spent repeating grades. Data for years prior to 2015 are estimates, while data from 2015 onwards are projections.
