This dataset includes yearly information of the Social Unrest Index for multiple countries published in "Measuring Social Unrest Using Media Reports" by Philip Barret, Maximiliano Appendino, Kate Nguyen, and Jorge de Leon Miranda. The Social Unrest Index measures the risk of social conflicts in countries and is used to assess the level of vulnerability of a society to instability. It takes into account a range of factors, including economic inequality, poverty, social exclusion, and lack of effective governance.
