This dataset contains monthly information on Outlook of Depository Companies produced by the Brazilian Central Bank. data are in BRL Millions. The Outlook of Deposit Companies consolidates the accounts of all currency-issuing institutions in the broad sense of the economy, namely: Central Bank and Other Deposit Societies (OSD). An international standardization methodology is used in order to produce series that economically represent the main asset and liability operations of these entities.

Commercial banks, multiple banks, Caixa Econômica Federal, credit cooperatives, investment and development banks, credit, financing and investment companies, mortgage companies, real estate credit companies/savings associations are classified as Other Deposit Companies (OSD). and loans, the state savings banks (these, existing until November 1998) and the financial investment funds. Foreign exchange banks are excluded from coverage as they are classified as Other Financial Companies. In the case of funds, the assets and liabilities of the following entities classified by CVM Instruction No. 409 are included: short-term fund, fixed income fund, exchange fund, multimarket fund and reference fund.
