This dataset includes Argentina's monthly building permits. The variables permitted area are measured in m2, and the number of permits granted is quantified. Private building permits constitute a significant indicator of individuals' construction intentions, forecasting future construction activity and the actual supply of real estate units. The registered construction area covered by permits issued by municipalities provides an approximate idea of the expected level of activity in the coming months
