This dataset provides quarterly data from the Industrial Outlook Survey of the Manufacturing Sector conducted by the Reserve Bank of India. The survey encapsulates qualitative assessment of the business climate by Indian manufacturing companiesand their expectations.
BAI/BEI gives a snapshot of demand conditions in the manufacturing sector by combining nine parameters – (1) overall business situation, (2) production, (3) order books, (4) inventory of raw material, (5) inventory of finished goods, (6) profit margin, (7) employment, (8) exports and (9) capacity utilisation. A value above 100 indicates an expansion of the overall business activity and value below 100 indicates contraction.

Economic confidence index is a composite index that encapsulates consumers' and producers' evaluations, expectations and tendencies about general economic situation. The index is combined by means of a weighted aggregation of sub-indices of consumer confidence, seasonally adjusted real sector, services, retail trade and construction confidence indices. It indicates an optimistic outlook about the general economic situation when economic confidence index is above 100, whereas it indicates a pessimistic outlook when it is below 100.

This dataset includes the quarterly Business Confidence Index (ICE) published by the Association of Industries of the Dominican Republic (AIRD). This indicator, established in the Industrial Outlook Survey, gauges entrepreneurs' perceptions regarding the climate for investment, the national economy, the international economy, the status of their company, and the branch or subsector of activity in which their company operates. In essence, it captures the perceptions that entrepreneurs hold regarding the environment in which they conduct their businesses, indicating the extent to which they feel more or less optimistic concerning these various indicators.

It is composed of more than 20 sectorial and regional associations.
