This dataset includes monthly Economic confidence index, published by Turkish Statistical Institute. Economic confidence index is a composite index that encapsulates consumers' and producers' evaluations, expectations and tendencies about general economic situation. The index is combined by means of a weighted aggregation of sub-indices of consumer confidence, seasonally adjusted real sector, services, retail trade and construction confidence indices. It indicates an optimistic outlook about the general economic situation when economic confidence index is above 100, whereas it indicates a pessimistic outlook when it is below 100.

This dataset includes the quarterly Business Confidence Index (ICE) published by the Association of Industries of the Dominican Republic (AIRD). This indicator, established in the Industrial Outlook Survey, gauges entrepreneurs' perceptions regarding the climate for investment, the national economy, the international economy, the status of their company, and the branch or subsector of activity in which their company operates. In essence, it captures the perceptions that entrepreneurs hold regarding the environment in which they conduct their businesses, indicating the extent to which they feel more or less optimistic concerning these various indicators.

The AIRD was founded on April 7, 1962. It is the largest and most important industrial association in the Dominican Republic, comprising over 200 industries (direct and indirect members) across 23 subsectors, including food and beverages, plastics, paper, textiles, mining, energy, steel, cement, and other construction-related products, pharmaceuticals, personal and household care products, tobacco, among others. BAI/BEI gives a snapshot of demand conditions in the manufacturing sector by combining nine parameters – (1) overall business situation, (2) production, (3) order books, (4) inventory of raw material, (5) inventory of finished goods, (6) profit margin, (7) employment, (8) exports and (9) capacity utilisation. A value above 100 indicates an expansion of the overall business activity and value below 100 indicates contraction.
