This dataset includes annual mobile cellular telephone subscriptions per 100 people for all countries, as reported by the World Bank. The indicator is segmented into the number of postpaid subscriptions and the count of active prepaid accounts (i.e., those utilized in the last three months). It applies to all mobile cellular subscriptions providing voice communications and excludes subscriptions via data cards or USB modems, subscriptions to public mobile data services, private trunked mobile radio, telepoint, radio paging, and telemetry services. These subscriptions correspond to a public mobile telephone service that provides access to the PSTN using cellular technology.
